One thing is for sure, he has played on a whole variety of table tennis tables over the years and knows what to look for when choosing the right one.

Picking a new table tennis table is not as easy as it sounds for indoors. there are many factors to consider like the size of the table. Some tables are smaller than standard and are more convenient for smaller rooms. however, if possible it helps to buy an indoor table that is a standard size then your game will not be affected when you move onto a standard sized table.

Imagine the embarrassment after you put in many hours of practise at the table tennis table, only to find that when you play elsewhere your game is totally messed up! We recommend smaller sized tables for young kids and we have a special category of tables for that. Head on over to the table tennis tables for kids section and find it in the menu at the top of this page.

Best Brands of Indoor Table Tennis Tables

In any case, we still review the Double Happiness table tennis tables to show you the difference and see real difference between a home table and a competition table. We will also stay true to our promise to review the most outstanding equipment on the market!

What To Consider When Choosing An Indoor Table?

There are a few factors to take into account when deciding which outdoor table to buy. Not least the Warranty period. Some brands offer an amazing warranty of up to ten years which will really protect your investment for years to come. This shows the confidence that some manufacturers have in the quality and build of their indoor tables.

Another factor to consider with indoor ping pong is whether the table has an integrated ball and racket storage solution. Many tables to have compartments and clips for holding balls and rackets which is a useful feature. No more hunting for that old box of rackets and balls in the garage!

Is The Top 10 Indoor Table List Up to Date?

Yes, our top 10 best indoor tables list is current! We take great care and put a lot of time into making sure that the top 10 list is up to date. Because Manufacturers regularly update certain models or stop certain lines in favor of new lines, some indoor tables from a few years ago simply do not exist any more. Sometimes manufacturing materials become outdated, or Brands find new and innovative ways to create their products, so they often update their ranges by ending the life of some products and introducting new models. This is why we have to continually scour the market for the best and most popular indoor tables to review and list in our top 10 best rankings.

The Killerspin MyT7 Club Pro Premium is just that, it is a great ping-pong table for the home or semi-pro office players that want to play at a higher level with a good bounce. It has an 18mm blue table top, which is made of MDF, a medium density fibreboard to make sure the bounce is consistent. The table top has also been coated with a special paint to stop anti-glare and reduces the table from getting marks on the table.

The frame is silver solid steel powder-coated and sturdy with 6 lockable rubber wheels’ casters. It’s foldable and has a rollaway system to make transport easy to use. This table can be used in playback mode and comes with a very good quality net and post system that can be screwed to the table.

Joola Inside 15 Indoor Table Tennis Table

The best-selliing Joola Inside 15 indoor ping pong table is the perfect competition grade entry-level table at a reasonable price. It comes 95% pre-assembled to have you up and playing as soon as possible. The nest and post set are included, so you just need to buy racquets and balls to complete the set.

The Inside 15 is the middle of the range table in the Joola Inside range. The number 15 refers to the thickness of the top which is 15mm. A thicker top will provide a higher bounce, which is only necessary for advanced and pro players.

The Inside 15 features a 2-halves table which can be separated and folded vertical for storage. The 2 halves nest together to save space, although in my opinion, this is not the best table to be folding up and down constantly. It is really designed to be set up permanently. The caster wheels can be locked in place and the end legs can be adjusted for height variations on the ground, so once you find a good home for the table you can leave it in place.

Joola sponsors USA Table Tennis and this indoor table is approved by the USATT. This means that it is regulation size and good enough for table tennis clubs to use for training young players. ALthough not designed for outdoor use, the Inside 15 features a durable MDF top which should last a lifetime if looked after properly.

The 1 year guarantee offers peace of mind while you enjoy your table. If you are looking for an excellent entry-level yet pro quality table, then the Jools Inside 15 is a good bet!

Our Rating:

Killerspin MyT7 Pocket Table in Black or Blue

Killerspin are constantly updating their range of both indoor and outdoor table tennis tables and the MyT7 is a winning example of this strategy. A modernised update of the MYT7 Club Pro Premium table, the MYT7 Pocket is almost identical except with the very welcome addition of integrated bat and ball storage. Killerspin took an already popular table and made it even better, so much so, that it has now won the Amazon's Choice award.

The new MYT7 Pocket indoor table comes in the very striking Black color which I picture here and it also comes in a very handsome blue. The blue is cheaper and you can access both colors by clicking the 'buy now' button below.

It's not clear why the Black is around $100 more expensive, but if I were to guess, I would say that it is perfectly suited to the Ping Pong Leisure Bar or Gym Market and therefor to Business customers. It's matte black playing surface and black powder coated legs look very handsome and will provide that 'wow' factor. That said, the Blue color is also handsome in a more traditional way. It's matte blue top and silver legs would suit those looking for a beautiful slightly retro look in their indoor table.

All-in-all, the Killerspin MyT7 range are great table tennis tables for the home, leisure or office players that want to play to a good standard with the good bounce that the 18mm table top will provide. The playing surface paint is anti-glare to prevent you being distracted when your in the spotlight!

The MYT7's are capable of single-play playback mode for when nobody else is around and it's a breeze to setup, so you can be up an playing within 30 minutes of delivery. You will need to buy a bat and balls, because this is not a bundled table deal, although the MYT7 does come with Killerspins own easy clip on nets which have a neat mechanism for keeping them taught at all times.

If you need a superb-looking table from a great Brand that is easy to setup and will last a lifetime of indoor play, then the Killerspin MYT7 is a great choice.

Our Rating:
3
Pros:
  • Ready Assembled, set up in 15 mins
  • Anti-glare table top
  • Playback mode
  • Integrated Bat and Ball storage
  • Great for Bars and Nightclubs
